The swan song of the current generation of the DBS will be produced in a limited quantity of 499 units.
Aston Martin revealed the DBS 770 Ultimate, a special edition of the DBS with increased power, modified chassis and unique styling touches. The grand tourer that marks the end of the line of the current DBS generation will be produced in 499 units (300 Coupé and 199 Volantes), which have already been talked about.
The swan song of the series is instantly recognizable as a DBS as the visual improvements are subtle. Highlights include the more pronounced splitter at the front, the new hood with a deep horseshoe-shaped vent and gills, the twill carbon fiber accents and the redesigned diffuser at the rear.
Even more special are the exclusive 21-inch alloy wheels, finished in Satin Silver, Satin Black or Satin Black with Diamond Turned, as in the example pictured. They are shod with Pirelli P Zero high-performance tires that measure 265/35R21 at the front and 305/30R21 at the rear.

Inside, the DBS 770 Ultimate logo can be found on the armrest and on one of the special sill plates which also display the special limited production numbering.
The model comes standard with Sports Plus seats upholstered in quilted semi-aniline leather and Alcantara (Performance seats are optional), carbon fiber gear shift paddles and an exclusive combination of finishes with colored inserts. Owners also had the option to further customize their vehicle through the Q by Aston Martin division.
More power, modified chassis
The DBS 770 Ultimate comes equipped with an upgraded version of the 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 760 PS (566 kW/770 PS) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. This represents a 45 hp (33 kW / 45 PS) increase over the regular DBS Superleggera/Volante, made possible by modified airways and ignition, along with a 7% increase in maximum turbo boost pressure. Power is transmitted to the rear axle through a recalibrated ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox with the help of a mechanical limited-slip differential.
The company suggests that the special edition is “the most powerful production Aston Martin ever created and the fastest and most powerful DBS to date”, although the advertised top speed of 340 km/h (211 mph) is identical to that of the DBS normal. The power output of the DBS 770 Ultimate is 10 hp (7 kW / 10 PS) more than that of the One-77, but still falls short of the combined 1,160 hp (865 kW / 1,176 PS) of the vessel’s electrified powertrain Valkyrie badge.
Aston Martin engineers improved steering response and feedback thanks to a new solid steering column. They also modified the suspension, with a new calibration of the shock absorbers and new software for the Adaptive Damping System (ADS), along with a stronger front cross member and a thicker rear base. The carbon ceramic brakes with 410 mm (16-inch) front and 360 mm (14.2-inch) rear discs are carried over from the regular DBS.
Production of the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate will begin in the first quarter of 2023, with first deliveries expected in the third quarter of the year. The automaker did not reveal prices because order books are already closed. Given the extra power and limited availability, the special edition will definitely be more expensive than the DBS Superleggera, which starts at around $330,000.
