here is great news for a 6-year-old cat who gained huge attention for its weight and need for a new home.

On Thursday, the Humane Rescυe Alliance introduced us to Symba, a 35-pound tabby who was put up for adoption.

Within a single day, Symba has finally discovered a fresh and affectionate family who will provide him with a dwelling where they will strive to aid him in shedding the excess pounds and establish a healthier lifestyle.

Following his previous owner’s relocation to an assisted living center, Symba was brought to the Humane Rescυe Alliance last week.

The animal shelter in Washington D.C. shared a video of Symba’s introduction to his new family on Friday.

“One strategy we’re considering is placing his food on the opposite side of the room, so he’ll have to exert a bit of effort to reach it, and then we’ll proceed from there,” one of Symba’s new owners mentioned. “It’s uncharted territory for us. Our other two cats have a regular size.”
